Welcome Catherine!

Originally from UK, I moved with my husband & son from Chester to Papamoa in September 2018. I have been working locally in Papamoa for the last 9 months and recently joined the Foundation Team at the New Tara Road Clinic in sunny Papamoa!

I qualified in 2002 with a BSc Hons Physiotherapy. I have worked in a variety of clinical settings including acute & community hospitals, private hospitals, sports injury clinics and here in New Zealand. In 2016 I completed an MSc in Advanced Practice at the University of Liverpool, UK and went on to work as an Extended Scope Physiotherapy Practitioner in Musculoskeletal & Orthopaedics.

I am hugely passionate about my work as a Physiotherapist. I have a specialist interest in shoulder & upper limb rehabilitation, as well as sports injury rehabilitation, tendon pain, orthopaedic rehabilitation and the integration of the wider kinetic chain and movement principles in rehabilitation. I am passionate about helping people back to their best, optimising their recovery from injury and maximising performance.

Outside of work I spend as much time as possible with my family, which usually involves riding a bike, swimming in the sea, climbing mountains or exploring the Bay & beyond. When there's time left in the day you'll usually find me running, swimming or cycling (on or off road) in pursuit of fitness & the odd triathlon!!

I'm really excited to be part of the Foundation team & look forward to continuing to work with the Papamoa Community.
