James Green

Originally I was born in the United Kingdom, but then have been a proud Tauranga local ever since I was 3-years-old. After completing my high school years at the mighty institution of Tauranga Boys College in 2016 I moved away to Auckland to study at the Auckland University of Technology (AUT) in the field of Physiotherapy. I went on to graduate from AUT in what was the fun-filled year of 2020. However, I have now moved back to the beautiful Bay of Plenty to once again call Tauranga my home starting my physiotherapy career here at Foundation clinic.

Growing up I was a passionate sportsman but often found myself on the side-lines due to injuries leading to numerous visits to different Physiotherapists. It was in those treatment rooms I found my passion for sports medicine and physiotherapy as the combination of helping patients in need and friendly communication made it an easy career choice for me.

Throughout the past 4 years I have been fortunate enough to be exposed to multiple different avenues of physiotherapy. This extends from on the sports fields with rugby teams right through to being in the Tauranga hospital Health in Aging ward working with post-stroke and amputee patients on their rehab journey. Because of this wide variety of exposure I found a passion for musculoskeletal physiotherapy and helping our locals get back to what they love doing!

Outside of work, sports of all nature are one of my key passions. In particular basketball as I have been a feature of multiple Tauranga city rep teams and I'm an avid NBA follower. However, I'm always keen to give anything a go and I'm always up for an adventure soaking up the sun whenever possible.
