Born and raised in the Waikato, I returned to my roots after completing my studies at the University of Otago. Who wouldn't want to when it's voted the best large city in NZ in 2020!
I have a passion for getting people back doing what they love and are passionate about. I enjoy all sports but my first passion was football. This was the result of being raised by a football loving Englishman #COYS
Over the years I have developed a love for exploring the outdoors and can be frequently found out on the trails, either on a mountain bike or running with my two dogs in tow. This has led me to competing in both orienting and adventure racing, with the goal of racing GODZONE one day.
Over the years I have had my fair share of injuries which has helped to give me a great perception of the recovery process and the ups and downs involved in the journey. From this I have definitely developed a passion for lower limb injuries, particularly knees as I have researched and trialed many different approaches to get myself back into shape. My other main focus is running, cycling and endurance based sports.
With work I have been involved mainly as a musculoskeletal/sport physiotherapy, though I also have been involved in TI programs, chronic pain rehabilitation and also teaching classes (mainly pilates). I have also been involved as the therapist/coach for riding for the disabled where I have been involved for over 10 years.
