Being a passionate sports fan and a frequently injured athlete, I naturally gravitated towards physiotherapy. Over the years my primary focus has been on sports and exercise rehabilitation. I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of individuals, spanning from weekend warriors to professional athletes involved in various sports such as rugby, cricket, MMA, and running.
Being based in a clinic with a well-equipped gym allows me to help guide athletes on their journey back to their respective sports and activities. Over the years, I have been privileged to collaborate with outstanding individuals and teams. I am heavily involved in supporting the top sports teams at Hamilton Boys High School, focusing on athletic development and injury prevention/management.
I am deeply passionate about endurance sports, especially cycling and running. Both running and cycling on the surface are simplistic movements, however, they involve intricate movement patterns where even the smallest details can have a significant impact on an athlete's performance and risk of injury. When working with endurance athletes, I take a holistic approach, considering factors such as training loads, mechanics, nutrition, and sleep.
I thoroughly enjoying working with all athletes, helping them not only recover from their injury but getting them back to peak performance and achieving their goals.
