Laura Kelly

Hand Therapist

Raised in Tawa, Wellington I left for the big smoke in Auckland to study a bachelor of Occupational Therapy, graduating in 2017 from AUT. From there I started my career as a paediatric occupational therapist specialising in developmental delays. Having always been interested in hand therapy, I then branched out and began working for a private hand clinic in West Auckland where I have been based for almost 5 years, gaining my hand therapy registration in 2021. My special interests have been post surgical patients with multiple injuries, involving wound care, splinting and intense rehabilitation. I have also recently complete my post-graduate diploma in rehabilitation.

Moving to the sunny Bay of Plenty for a change of lifestyle, sees me taking up a new focus of sports injuries and management with an interest in working with more complex cases. I aim to provide my clients with tailored therapy to get them back to doing what they love quickly.
