Women’s Strength Training (40+)

Build strength, confidence, and resilience for the years ahead.

Our Women’s Strength Training sessions at Foundation Clinic (First Ave) are designed to help women over 40 learn how to lift heavier weights safely and confidently in a supportive, supervised environment.

Each class is run with both a coach and a physiotherapist on the floor, so you’ll always have expert guidance while you train.

Every session is different to keep things interesting. We introduce a variety of movements and exercises that focus on building strength, improving mobility, and adding just enough cardio to get the heart working.

The women in our sessions range from their late 40s through to Betty, who is 83 years young. Many have finished physiotherapy and were looking for the next step to continue improving their health and quality of life.

These sessions are designed to help women:

  • Maintain or build muscle mass
  • Slow the loss of bone density
  • Improve balance and mobility
  • Build confidence lifting heavier weights


Most importantly, it’s about showing women that strength training is for them — and that they’re capable of far more than they think.

Class Times:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 12:00pm or 12:45pm

Sessions are 30 minutes and participants also have access to the gym during staffed hours.

Non-Contract Weekly Membership is $50 per week and includes access to all sessions and gym use during staffed hours.

Casual class rate is $20
