Originally from Wellington, I have been working at Foundation Clinic since 2020 after graduating from AUT.
Growing up I played a variety of different sports, developing a strong passion for the competitive nature, team morale and being active. At 15, while playing netball, I dislocated my patella, an injury which shaped my future. Working with a physio I returned to the netball court quicker than I imagined and it was then I realised the important impact a physio can have. This experience allowed me to realise how I wanted to combine my passion for sports with helping others.
Over the last few years working at Foundation I have been lucky enough to work with club and representative rugby and netball teams. This has helped me to develop my skills and ability to think and react on the spot. I love working with patients to return to their previous level of function whether that be returning to sport or a daily activity they have been unable to do. I enjoy being able to use the gym facilities we have to aid in rehabilitation. I have developed a particular interest in sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, return to work programmes and ankle injuries.
