Senior Physiotherapist

Sam is joining Foundation Clinic Waikato off the background of 7 years of physio experience in both New Zealand and the UK. He graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science, majoring in Physiotherapy, from Auckland University of Technology in 2019, before doing his Post Graduate Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine from Otago University.

He has extensive expertise in high performance sport, currently working with the Northern BRAVE Men’s side, and having previously worked with the Vantage Blacks Sticks Men’s Team, the Auckland ACES, the Manawatu Jets, and various academy’s and teams across cricket, football, rugby union, basketball, hockey, and netball.

He also has an extensive clinical background. Having worked at Axis Sports Medicine in Auckland, alongside some of the countries most experienced sports clinicians, he then went to London and worked for Pure Sports Medicine, one of the premier Sports Medicine clinics in the UK. He has worked in acute and complex concussion teams, as well as acute knee, and foot and ankle teams globally.

Sam has a passion for physiotherapy, and joins Foundation as a Senior Physiotherapist alongside his role with the Northern Brave Men’s programme.
